I have built 8 brick-and-mortar business from the ground up while raising my children, and now I'm the proud grammy of 12 (soon to be 14) beautiful grandbabies. Each time I grew a business to profit, I would sell it, take a breather, and soon find myself bored, jumping back into the cycle of building again. It became a familiar pattern--hard work, burnout, rest, repeat.

Through it all, I was determined to do things on my own terms. I wanted to be my own boss but also needed to balance my responsibilities as a full-time caregiver for my children, homschooling them while running my businesses, and later caring for my mother. After her passing, I found myself at a crossroads, needing to create daily purpose for myself as well as wanting to generate income again. I weighed my options: start another brick-and-mortar business, get a regular job or start something completely different.
